  1. Lauren Elliott says:

This kind of honesty is going to take you far, Matt. I think everyone of us can resonate with that feeling fear to be judged by others. To here a person that we admire and aspire to be like say that he too has experienced those feelings, is what makes your listeners feel so connected with you. Don’t ever stop being yourself for us, Matt. This kind of honesty is what sets you miles apart from most and is what gives all of us hope that we too can overcome our own insecurities. Thank you for everything you do for us, you bring immense value to our lives.

    Lauren

  2. Maria says:

    Hi,
What about asking for a donation? This would be a completly different approach, make it affordable and allows people to express the value within their needs and standards.

  3. Jill says:

I already commented on this earlier but was getting ready to send it to a friend and decided to listen again and just had to say that if I had been there I would have run up on the stage and stood next to you and taught you how to clap. I don’t mean that in a way to poke fun but more from a place to show that as human beings we need to be there for each other especially when we see one another struggle. That’s all I wanted to say :)

  4. Karo says:

    Hi Matt, Stephen;

Very interesting story to which many ppl can relate to (yes me too unfortunately) although it took me a while to change this horrible feeling of being ashamed etc…
I’m coming on the live seminar on the 9th august in London and I’m actually hoping to get the seat in the first row now,so yes everything is possible.
The way you advertised the new book remained me of the movie ‘syrup’ – worth watching.
PS feel free to book me that first row seat ;)

  5. AspieCatholicgirl says:

what time zone is the release date going by?

  6. Suzanne says:

    you rule.

  7. Ingrid Christina Bjoranesset says:

I am so excited about this program! I just hope I can get a hand on it in time. Will it be released on the Get the Guy products page?

  8. Barbara Müller says:

Ha, you sure do a great job of promoting it. Nice techniques right there :)

    • Matthew Hussey says:

Well I certainly wouldn’t have any credibility on the subject if I didn’t practice what I preached! That’s how you know the techniques are for real : ) x

  9. Maya says:

I’m sure this program is going to be amazing but the more build up there is for it the more I get the feeling it’s going to be something I can’t afford.

  10. Mia says:

I admire your courage. This was powerful. I am so excited about this new program. Can’t thank you enough Matt. You inspire me to keep growing.
But I am concerned – is it downloadable ? Or will shipping costs be there ?
    P.S. I live in India

    • Matthew Hussey says:

I can’t say too much right now, but I can confirm you won’t have to worry about shipping ; )

Good luck in making it onto the programme! x

  11. Lauren says:

I love this video! Totally relatable! I’m in direr need of your techniques and I’m soo excited about learning them and being able to apply them…to everything! Yaaayy!! Thank you so very much for releasing this new info and meeting our needs. It’s much appreciated. :)

    • Stephen Hussey says:

Thanks Lauren! Can’t wait for launch day now. I really want to see everyone’s reaction to this material! :)

      Steve x

  12. Vicky ZHOU says:

Hi Matt, thank you for what you are doing!! Really need your instruction for the Thursday’s email too!

  13. Faith says:

Matt, Where can I find out how much the program will cost. Need to be ready for Thurs.

  14. Nina says:

When I was a kid at school I was shy ; I remember the teacher put me infront of everyone and I was supposed to tell them to be quite, I wasn’t able to say anything. Now I even perform stand-up comedy from time to time but I still remember more guys being in love with me at school than now at university which is weird :D

  15. Elisa says:

God if this sounds a familiar story to me! I was that exact kid!
I can’t quite talk in front of a big audience yet (!) but I feel like I can surely crash a party or a group where I don’t know anybody without feeling particularly nervous, which I would have been so afraid of doing years ago.

It must have been liberating for you to share this story, it is encouraging and give us certainty that we can be even more comfortable than what we are right now in our own skin! And it can give you perspective in knowing that someone out there understands perfectly well what you went through at the time and admires a lot the effort you must have put into becoming more confident!

    Elisa

  16. Kathryn Green says:

I was about to say, thanks for sharing that with us Matt, then realising I sound like a counsellor! I had a similar experience when I was 13, had to go on stage and do a demonstration on my own with a ballet teacher. So many people and I had to go on stage from the front up a few steps. Just really didn’t want to fall or trip up the steps in front of everyone, it was at the venue in London the pictures are from. I was booked to come but when you changed the venue my heart sank. How crazy is that years later, I am a very confident person this should affect me? Glad I am on your list for Thursday.
    Many Thanks, Kathryn : )

  17. Kalea says:

I can really connect with the story you told, Matt, however, you have been definitely ahead of me and better at the analysis of charisma, how to make it work in your favour.

I am very pessimistic of being able to 1) be on time and 2) be able to afford it on the spot (broke graduate as I am)…however, I hope the programme will be successful and you will post it to general public soon! So more people in need of your advice can get more out of their own life and also give more to the world. Being terrifed and having low self-esteem will not ensure a person a life of his/her dreams, and of course, will prevent the person from taking more responsibility and speaking up his/her mind and be active (e.g. start a start-up/NGO/firm). People (including me!) are too scared to start something, they don’t believe in themselves, they don’t want to fail or get rejected, it feels too risky and scary. And this is how every day seems like any other day where you are fighting with yourself by saying: “I should do this…”, but that is where it always stays, in your head.

It applied to love life also, while you are looking for someone, when you are in courtship, when you establish a relationship, when your relationship is getting more serious, while you’re married, but also when you are in school/college/uni, when you have graduated and need to figure yourself out, what to do next, once you have your first real job, when you get stuck at your “first real job”, too scared to quit and too scared to ask for promotion.

I suspect half the people are introverts, living in the world led by extroverts, how will you ever get noticed like that? Some people just need to work on themselves harder, some are better at this and some are not, although they are not worse people, some people just never get over that stage fright you had at Disneyland, some people will never believe they are worthy and of high value. Society at large is not making it easier, like your relatives at the performance when pointing at you.

Being introverted, it’s like a stain, and as it’s implanted in your nature, you feel just powerless about it. However, some fight back and need to “fake it till they make it”. Which is not something most of us is good at.

It’s great you are giving 977 people a chance to hear what you have to say at Impact, knowing you though your blog posts and your book, my gut feeling tells me that it’s going to be amazing. As I feel probability is against me (your fan base is massive!) then I all I can do is to be on a lookout, and if I will be late or not be able to afford the programme at that very moment, then I really hope that more people can hear what you have to say soon.

We live in a world of people who don’t believe in themselves enough (at least I know a lot of people like that) and you have the potential to turn this around. You really give hope :)

Thanks to you and Steve’s contribution for making every day a better day :)

  18. sally says:

Iam so happy that I found you recently on youtube and I watched all the videos you uploaded but I wish you can upload a video that helps us girls learn how to make a man let go his ego because I face this problem with all men I fall in love with . Keep up the good work mathew , you are amazing !

  19. Eli says:

oooooooh what a lovely and touching video!
The way that you can be connected to the heart of the people is phenomenal.

    Good luck!

  20. edith says:

Oh no, I am so terrified that I will not do it… and I really need it..I have already signed for the “early bird list”, but what if there is too much people? I will settle the alarm for and stick to the hope to get lucky…
Matthew, if you read this, what can I do to prepare? What kind of payment will you accept? PayPal or credit cards?
End if somehow in the two first seconds all copies will be sold out, will I ever again get a chance to get the program???

    • Matthew Hussey says:

      Hey Edith!

I’ll have you more details on thursday (and will send you an email before then with specific instructions). But rest assured I’ll get you everything you need to have the best possible chance of making it!

      M x

  21. Marie says:

Sounds like something I don’t want to miss out on, nevertheless I’m a student and I would hate to spend 20 min refreshing my page, and maybe even getting a copy only to find out I cannot afford it. I was therefore curious about the price range and if it was similar to man-myth (I think) in that it is a subscription type style with monthly payments?
    Thanks xx

    • Matthew Hussey says:

Hey Marie! I can’t disclose anything at this stage. But stay tuned for thursday and I’ll have more info to you.

      x

  22. Shev says:

    Hey Matt:
Thank you for sharing such a personal story with such vivid detail! I can relate, and it reminded myself how I was in my early teens with school ( fainting while reciting a memorized poem was mine :( ).
The way it had an effect on you father was particularly moving! It’s when the people who are closest to us notice a shift, that we realize how much of a change in our previous behaviours we are making.
Though with age, there has been some lessening of fear, it still is a struggle, especially when dealing with people higher up at work or when meeting new people in an unfamiliar territory.

I am thrilled and excited about the release of this material!!! I really hope to one of the lucky few to gain access to “Impact “!

    Thank you for sharing!

    Warmest regards,
    Shev x ( with fingers crossed!) ;)

    • Matthew Hussey says:

Thanks Shev! It’s a joy to be able to share this personal information with you. I really hope you get in on the 31st!

      Matthew x

  23. Vavavoom says:

Matt, this is exactly the kind of advice i’d like to see along with the dating advice. I liked your video where you were in your “Hollywood Studio” and showed you actually applying your techniques and then breaking them down, I learned alot from that. More of that please :)

  24. Anne Clarkin says:

I avoided the front seats at your Get The Guy live seminar in Dublin for that very same reason – row three felt safer ;) I laughed out loud listening to your story but only because I understood and felt it internally. I learn a lot by watching you and am really starting to understand the extent to which showing vulnerability is the best sales technique ’cause a true sales person sells with real emotion. Thank you x

    • Matthew Hussey says:

I have found that authenticity is everything. That doesn’t mean being vulnerable to the point of being weak, it just means facing down – and sometimes being prepared to laugh at – your old weaknesses or insecurities, which is easy when you have strength today.

      Thanks for commenting x

  25. Raquel Martinez says:

I n addition to my previous comment. Yes. Odds in your favor because in the email it’s being offered to 977 lucky people hope to be one of them

I finally saw this video didn’t expect to get service out on the roads of Texas currently driving not me but on board

And this video was really moving I can completely relate and it got me e motional maybe it’s the road. Who knows
As your dad making that reflection Really got to me Especially putting myself in his shoes and seeing how far you’ve come wow

Hope to be one of the luckiy ones to receive the program!!!

    Lots of love.

    Raquel

  26. Anita D says:

    Matthew,
    It’s a very touching video.
I really could feel the pain of that 13 year old boy. I felt like traveling to the past and console him.
    XOXO
    ANITA

    • Matthew Hussey says:

Well luckily Anita, you don’t have to. That boy is fine, and I’m thankful for him because without him I couldn’t have been who I am today. x

      • Anita D says:

I am getting your point. It depends on how we treat those big or little life accidents. Either we use those springboards and we can reach the sky or we stay stuck in the gutter!

PS: “Ouf”, I was uncertain about my time-traveling power!:P
My references : “X-Men” and “Back to the future”
        LOL

  27. Raquel Martinez says:

My the odds be ever in your favor

  28. marwa says:

    Hey Matt,

first of all thanks for sharing this info with us i can’t wait till the release day :)

secondly, you mentioned that we got to buy our copies .. the problem for me is that in Sudan we can’t purchase items via internet , because there are no visa cards and for other governmental regulations

so would you let me know if there is any other possible way to get this material.

    regards ,
    Marwa

    • Matthew Hussey says:

      Hey Marwa!

We don’t have another way right now, but feel free to shoot my team an email on the day and we’ll see if there is anything at all we can do. I’d hate for you to miss out.

      Thanks for your lovely words,

      Matthew x

  29. Olli says:

great, colourful story, Matt)) I’m sure everyone has had something like that in his life. It’s nothing? yeah, you’re right but not the worst case – I used to sit in the 20th rows and believe that I was going to travel into the body of some performer and forget all the words and moves. Psyche can be very cruel.
So I guess that’s why I need to work really hard on that and that’s what your Impact for!;) signed already!;)

    • Stephen Hussey says:

Excellent Olli – you’ll find this programme incredible for dealing with comfort and presence on stage. Can’t wait for people to see it!

      Steve x

  30. tamara says:

    i love you, you’re amazing

  31. A. says:

Ah, Matt. You are such a good salesman. And I really like your programs. Haven’t quite figured how to make them work for me, but I do like them. I feel like that boy who is never going to be a rapper/entertainer because his father did something to his self-esteem.

That was not an unimportant story you told. Very personal and effective and I thank you for it.

    • Stephen Hussey says:

I lived through it, and still found it effective as well lol!

Trust me, these skills Matt teaches can be used by EVERYONE. I’ve seen people achieve unbelievable changes because of Matt’s work. Often it just takes us persistence and a willingness to adopt and cement new habits.

      Thanks A!

      Steve x

  32. Erin says:

Very powerful story there Matt! It reminds me a lot of myself when I was younger, and even so now! I’m a little better about that stuff as I am older but none the less I connect very well with this story. Keep up the good work!

    • Stephen Hussey says:

Thanks Erin – It’s crazy how seriously we take this moments when we’re young. Can’t believe Matt felt so strongly about it!

      All best,

      Steve x

  33. Jill says:

Your dad sounds like such a sweetie.
MENTOR ME :) that’s all I have to say. What do I have to so to prove I’m serious?

    • Matthew Hussey says:

He is an amazing man. I’m aware you want to work with us Jill, we’ll just have to wait and see if anything comes up. Thanks for staying interested!

  34. Nofyah says:

Steve, is that a true story?
Matt, thank you for all your work to help us.

I have PTSD and Agoraphobia and get panic attacks from just opening the mailbox to find a bill I can’t pay, much less getting on a stage.

    Nofyah
