You Asked For It: “50 Shades of Earl Grey” Bloopers

It’s no secret that I’m not a fan of Valentine’s Day.

Much like the real, overly-intense “50 Shades of Grey” trailer, I think people tend to take this holiday waaaaaay too seriously.

It’s too much pressure!

So this week’s video is all about having some fun.

I’m sharing with you the hilarious blooper reel from our “50 Shades of Earl Grey” shoot…

***If you missed last week’s wildly popular video spoof I did, “50 Shades of Earl Grey,” check it out here first.***

  2. Ellen Newth says:

The trailer for “50 Shades” was brilliantly done and VERY funny…But the blooper reel was hysterical! I laughed so hard I cried! Matt, you have perfect comic timing ~ a skill that cannot be taught :)

  3. Jilly says:

Love, love, love the fifty shades of earl grey. Screeching with laughter!!

    Best,
    Pam

  7. Juli says:

Huge smile and belly laughs! I think I fell in love with that moment…just laughing at the silliness of it all. Thank you and much love.

  8. Elaine says:

All the time I was watching I couldn’t stop laughting and thinking you really should get an Oscar of some sort! It IS so difficult to stay serious in scenes like that!!! Just LOVED!!!

  9. Nadya says:

I don’t know why men are so freaked out about this day. I’m a single and I just saw that many of the guys I’ve been talking to on a dating site just disconnected their profiles and reconnected them a day later.
I mean I didn’t mind and I had a plan for this day (not a romantic one) but what’s so wrong about just to go hanging out and doing something nice in this day with a woman?

  10. Darla says:

Best non- Valentines gift ever! Very mind-blowing!

  11. Stella says:

OMG this blooper video is hilarious, LOVED IT!!!!
Now thumbs up for Jameson and the ladies in the trailer as well: great job everyone!
So you hate Valentine’s day, huh? THANK YOU! Maybe this could be another video topic… Can’t stand the commercial pressure made around this… it seems like “a day for dummies” -> for those who need to be remembered to tell the one they care about so much (not to say they love) how much they mean to them. Silly. This should be any(every) day! Cheers!

  12. Debbie says:

Thanks for the blooper video! Great job to Matt, Jameson and the rest of his crew . When I saw the parody trailer, it did look like Matt was having a hard time keeping a straight face in the ” You must have to pee ” scene. The tea bagging scene was so funny in the blooper!
I totally agree about Valentines Day.

  13. Kathleen Schaefer says:

My friend Amy and I watched your parody before seeing the movie. We laughed so hard we almost peed our pants. The really funny part came later!! That night 2/13/15 we went to the 10:45pm showing of the movie. Whenever there was a scene in the movie that was parodied we could not stop laughing! When he opens up the special room!! When he yells now you’ve gone too far! Oh dear God Matthew we were rolling in the aisles. It was all so inappropriate of us!!! Lol we were yelling you ruined it for us Matthew Hussey!! So so funny.

  14. JJ says:

Who got the messy job of cleaning the milk up in the kitchen after your bloops?
    Very funny.

  15. Carolyn says:

Hate to break it to you, Matt, but that ain’t teabagging.

  16. Tricia says:

superb calibre on the 50 shades video! and nice to see the cute outtakes!

  17. Beth says:

I always love your bloopers but this was just hilarious. I am not a fan of Valentines either and I just loved how you poked fun at this over rated movie. I prefer the day after Valentines when I can get the cheaper chocolate lol! I agree enjoy the small moments in life because they can be just as important as the big moments!!

  18. Marla says:

Such good advice…thank you. Loved your version of 50 shades.

  19. Harleen Dahiya says:

  23. Stacy says:

Absolutely brilliant! I was watching this out in public and had trouble keeping myself together. Thanks for the laugh :)

  24. Shev says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! On “Singles Awareness Day” – a cruel thing a) to create such a holiday, b) to make it the day after Valentine’s Day – what a fabulous ( and hilarious) way to start the day!
I love the idea of “falling in love with the moments” and reflecting back on to the weeks leading up to the dreaded “V – day” I can identify so many little moments that touched, brightened, made me laugh or made my heart smile!! I am gonna have to add “getting the ring to Mordor” & ” violently tea bagged” to the list! ;)

Thanks again! Matt, Jameson and the rest of the crew! You totally rock!!!
    Shev XX

  25. Heather says:

What was your safe word? Darjeeling?? :-)

  26. Stella says:

  27. Anita D says:

You could have done a career as a photo model ! You look very hot :)

    Cheers,
    Anita D

  28. Penge princess says:

Inspired!! Don’t know how you still managed to make being slapped by a tea bag a little bit attractive still though ;-). Aside from that was very funny :-). Well done!

    • Penge princess says:

Think you’ve just ruined early grey tea for me though. I don’t think I can ever order another cup with a straight face again ;-)

  29. Janice says:

    Matt, Jameson
    You both R-O-C-K!
What a great message and hilarious blooper reel!
Life has been far too serious for me the last 8 weeks, thank you for reminding me to have fun!

  30. Marseile says:

Brilliant. My applause for not only bringing laughter, but for suggesting to fall for and lovingly embrace the daily small moments in our lives. I call them “slow motion moments” ; which thread one beautiful moment to the next…

Discover them daily and rise brighter.
    Be well ~

  31. cecilia aka CC Williams says:

    OMG Matt,
I could not stop laughing great spoof! Its interesting how you can take something Luke 50 shades and lighten it up just in time for valentines day!

  32. Leena says:

    “Violently teabagged.”

  33. Agnes says:

A bowl of laughter on Sunday morning. Perfect start of the day.
Falling in love with small moments should be a fundamental rule to a happy and content life…
You are like a light bulb- radiating happiness and positive vibes!
    Shine on ☺

  34. Kathryn says:

It’s all got very silly, as people have over the film. The critics reviews have been crazy and hype surrounding the film unreal. The quality of your parody made us all take notice and your acting, really good. Jameson’s talent has allowed yours to shine. Much like the other revelation of the weekend, the beautifully shot rendition in ballet by Sergei Polunin of Hoziers ‘Take me to the Church’. All the talents coming together to make something extraordinary. Sergei’s pain is raw and the dance and music become one, as it should be. Like your film, it is actually the culmination of years of training and work coming together. Sergei had his childhood given to ballet, as I did, your talent dictating all life, all choices taken away, and the pressure not to make a mistake to live up to the potential. We know how hard you work behind the scenes and wish you all the success that should rightly come to you and those close to you supporting you along the way. x

  35. Scandigirl says:

In Finland, Valentine’s Day is a day for celebrating friendships. A much nicer idea in my opinion.
Loved the video and the cuts even more:-)

  36. Demara says:

Omg, just absolutely HILARIOUS!!!! Thanks for making my day. :-)

  37. Darci O'Neal says:

    Matt,

That was hilarious and its also nice to see that a relationship expert does not take Valentine’s Day so seriously! I think its dumb and people have put far too much emphasis on it!

  38. ordinary girl ;) says:

and oh, let’s have some tea sometime ;) someday…lol

  39. ordinary girl ;) says:

oh i did not know you hate the holiday?;) i guess it’s never lonely at all when you know someone shares same sentiments like you do. i hope this year was a lot better than the rests…we gotta make it grander for the next coming season, i wonder what it would be like? hhmmm…hats- off for everyone in the team! coach matt, you are priceless.

  40. cleverclogs says:

“You’d think that they were discussing how to get the ring to Mordor”… that made me laugh hardest of all :D

  41. Darlene says:

    Hey Matt,
I think your next life goal should be
acting (and BTW, Jameson you ARE
Most definitely a very talented director,
    Producer and camera man. Wow.
I was impressed by the quality of your
    creation)

Matt, you are a truly wonderful. As I
became a bit discouraged today as my first
Valentines Day without a bf – he’s with someone
    else – you reminded
me that it is just another day – a bit
Over rated – so true. Thanks for bringing
    a pretty rainbow.
    XXOO

  42. tigress866 says:

    That was just great!

I’ve been asked what it is I do everyday, and I’ve always said it’s to make a difference, to brighten someone’s day.

“Falling in love with small moments”…
    What an awesome expression!
I shall keep it for my own.

Thanks for the Valentine gift of laughter and expression. You are awesome, Matt!
But, you already know that, I’m sure. ;)

    Earl grey, hot, please.

  43. Bonny says:

Loved it!! I agree with the small moments. I try to have as many as possible! Life is good!

  44. Christine says:

Matt….your genuine, honest, open, beautiful soul simply sparkles in this video! I laughed my ass off the whole way. Bravo!!

I loved the original…so well done…..but this one was just as good :)

I fell in love with the moment, just today. Open road and just me and my motorbike. 100km ride to an airport where I sat in the sun and watched planes come and go. Come to Australia. I’ll take you flying :)

  45. Ruby says:

That was fun, I could not stop laughing,

  46. Tinkerbell says:

I love the shades of green around you Matt!
Falling in love with the moments… That’s an incredible concept!!

  47. Jill says:

From now on I think you should say tea instead of sex and see if everyone catches on.
I was just thinking I had a wonderful Valentine’s day. I got to be with my wonderful coworkers/friends. I have never loved a salon like I do this one too bad I don’t want to do hair the rest of my life :/
