  • Social media has caused people to be stuck texting & not meeting people in person…so true…They have forgotten how to interact with people in the “every day”…Have noticed this even in my own children who are now 28 & 25…addicted to their phones…;)

  • Great advice as always! I’ve been flirting much better than before, I think ;) and was enjoying flirting quite intensively with someone for several weeks during which time we had a date. Things seemed to be going well and then he suddenly disappeared, and it really hurt. I have recovered now but could you talk about ghosting at some point? Would love to hear what you have to say about it!

  • L.S.,
I have an additional secret strategy,
You can combine it with all of the above and it is magical!

    SMILE

  • Why does it have to be the girl to flirt first? I’m a guy and I would like some tips on how to flirt (first) similar as this video but for guys. It’d be great if you can share some tips. Thanks!

  • Me: (I make eye contact with a handsome guy across the room)

Matthew: (He looks at me with a warm smile)

Me: (I look at Matthew again, but this time I say “Hi”… only mouthing the word without a sound. I then look at him and send him a warm smile back)

Matthew:(He looks over at me with a HUGE SMILE this time)

Me: (I start walking toward Matthew … smiling and looking into his eyes)

Matthew: (He heads toward me flirting a smile and making eye contact with me as he walks all the way across the room)

Me: (I mouth the word “Hi” as my hand just barely touches his hand and then I let out a little giggle)

Matthew: “Hi”(he grins)… “May I ask what your name is?”

Me: “Sure, my name is Betty … May I ask what your name is?”

Matthew: “Of course, my name is Matthew”

Me: “Nice to meet you, Matthew… Would you like to walk outside and talk under the starlit sky?”

Matthew: “Sure, that sounds like a great idea… I’d love too”

(We both walk outside and talk under the stars)

Ha ha ha … How did I do? I have to say… Matthew, I love your approach. You always get me laughing and smiling. I like the “Hi” mouthing flirtation… that’s a cute touch. I think I did that recently by accident (too funny).

Thanks, Matthew for your wonderful posts. Have a nice day!

  • I adore strategy #3. Usually on the day of the date, I don’t text the guy because we’re going to see each other any way, and I don’t want to seem too eager. However, in reality I am really looking forward to it. You’re so right, Matt. Authenticity is awesome! If I’m excited, I should express it.

  • Hello Matt! (Or Matt’s Bot). My name is Alexandra and I am not quite like other girls my age. I know you may hear that a lot but hear me out. I am 19 years old (20 in a week) and I have never had a boyfriend. I have only been on 3 dates in my life and all of them were not great. Besides this, I am TERRIFIED to be intimate with a man. I had my first kiss last year and I needed a little help from a couple drinks. I don’t know if I’m not ready because of how I was raised, because I haven’t met the right guy, or because I’m not comfortable in my body, but I do know I’m not ready yet which seems very prudeish. I would like to date a guy and I’ve actually asked out more guys than have asked me out (they all said no), but once I do find a guy I like, I always end up as the best friend and never the girlfriend. How can I change this?

  • Matthew,
This is the second video I’ve seen where you mentioned coming to Chicago.
I’m not hearing about those opportunities.
    Puzzled?

  • Hello Matt,I have been trying to get back with my ex in RI now too. I had a amazing time and lots of fun hanging out with Brian on May 10,11,12 2010 then too. I know that I’m not Brian’s type now is there anything that I can do to make him change his mind and chase me now too. I know that he loves kissing and hanging out now. There was a instant chemistry between us too and I wanted to have a future with Brian now too. Are there any texts that I can send him to have him talk to me,ask me out etc. now?
