Learn More About My New Book, Love Life

All I Want For Christmas Is Youtube

We’re coming up to the end of the year now. I have had the most incredible year of my life.

So many exciting things have happened, and the realisation I had is that my FAVOURITE thing this year – the thing that I have derived the most enjoyment from is making these videos.

It’s the epitome of my passion. I get to talk about what I love, I get to do it the way I want to do it, and I get to put my creative energy into it.

Even with my life now being a little crazy, this is still my favourite thing that I do.

The process of putting these videos out has taught me two things:

1) You don’t have to be living an ideal version of your passion in order to enjoy what it is you love doing.

Whatever your passion is, start living it now, even if you only get to live it for 5 minutes a week.

2) “Ordinary things done consistently produce extraordinary results.” – Keith Cunningham

There are routines that if you begin in January will change your life if you stick to them and are disciplined, not succumbing to perfectionism with them.

That’s what I’m trying to do with these videos – putting something out there every week without fail.

I have people telling me they look forward to these videos every Sunday morning, and now we have a community of people interacting about this stuff.

Thank you for being a part of this and continuing to help me build this incredible group of people. We’re a team, I love the relationship we have, and I value every single person who watches these videos.

Question Of The Day:

What one thing are you most proud of that you’ve done consistently this year? What ‘ordinary thing’ have you followed through on? (If you can’t think of one, write down what you’re going to do next year).

Have an amazing Christmas, happy holidays, and I’ll see you soon!

  • The one thing I’ve done consistently this year that I’m proud of is I have spread kindness and positivity whenever possible. It’s who I am, it’s the best possible version of me and I’m no longer afraid to show that sensitive side of myself. I plan to continue this in much bigger ways in the New Year. Thank you Matthew – LOVE your work!! :)

  • Speaking of making up Jamieson , have you seen Whoopi Goldburg’s movie “The Associate”. She makes up this fictional business partner. It’s a great movie.
What have I done consistently? Watched your videos and haven’t given up hope.

  • Thank you Matt.
The thing that I most proud of is my health routine. I never had health issues, but I decided this year to make my life style healthier, so I stuck to this daily work-out and gave up some junk food like Soda-pop completely. I feel very happy that I did that and I feel healthier and happier more than ever :)

  • First of all, thank YOU Matthew for everything. I cannot thank you enough for the confidence you have given me to take control of my own life. I am proud of myself for taking lots of risks for the past few months:
    1. Moving abroad to attend university
    2. Creating a more social life for myself and bring my best self to the table when meeting people
    3. Attracting the guy I never thought I could get and not being afraid to go for it. He ended up walking away but I’m confident enough to say it’s his loss and I can get someone better. (Despite the fact that he was almost perfect)
    4. Becoming more outgoing and less afraid to fail

  • I’ve already written a comment to this video, but I kept thinking about the year you have had and the amazing confidence you have given me. The one thing you have said that I will ALWAYS remember is that life is about CREATING EXPERIENCES and MOMENTS with people. To me, this means living life to it’s fullest and being thankful for very day. It means making the most of what you have and spending time with people who make you happy, or people who make you a better person. It means to take chances and do things you have never done before, and learn from them.

I used to be afraid to take chances with guys and be afraid to get rejected. Now, I don’t think about getting rejected anymore, but about the fact that I want to create moments. I hope you read this because you deserve to know how amazing you are. I want you to know how thankful I am, along with all other women that have commented to share their stories. THANK YOU MATT xx

  • Thank you for your videos. I am most proud I started teaching Yoga this year & every class I teach I show and work to be as real as I can with my students listening to them as best as I can. I can say I consistently show up to teach class and my ego is not involved at all. I am very proud of that

  • Merry Christmas to you and yours….that means Jameson too!

After much thought, I realized that everyday I think how I can better myself.

    A work in progress, Leecis

  • Hey.
I have a question, that i hope you can answer.
I am 21 years old, and still a virgin. I feel a little pressure to just sleep with anyone. do men still think it’s nice to be the first with the girl? Or that i am so ´´óld´´ and haven’t slept with anybody yet. I feel that now sins we soon are in 2014 that society has changed. I even feel that it starts to be negatively the older I get, but I can not just lie with a random person that had been strange. I really wonder what men actually think about this?

  • Merry Christmas to Matt and friends,

Something I am proud of is to spend quality time with my family and to study this year after I left school since Year 2008…

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us…

    Cheers,
    MJ

  • I must say, the most consistent thing I have done this year is remind myself to be consistent! I have, however, tried my utmost to improve three aspects of my life daily (or weekly) this year, those being:

    1) Change my diet (daily and by far the most difficult – really underestimated by most people)(and, of course, completely cliche, but …well, there’s a reason it’s cliche. Everyone does it)
    2) Learn Russian (hopefully to be my most useful success)
    3) Collect and study new information on my chosen career

Although I have not yet met all my desired goals, I am in a markedly different and better place than last year to see success in my future, and this gives me a lot of hope for the year to come!

Thank you for these videos, Matthew. Your weekly chats have – consistently – aided me in maintaining my motivation, and that’s a pretty impressive achievement.

    Happy Holidays,
    Carla

  • Hi Matt!!
I am proud of having read your Get the guy book. First of all because I have found your blog (and video like this).
I am writing you during a night when I cannot sleep because I am crying and feel really lonely and the best thing I can do during nights like this is whatching one of your videos. So I can hope that good people still exist and there are out there some guys who care about people around them.
I wish you all the best Things for 2014.
    A little Kiss. Misia

  • Merry Xmas to you Mat and thank you for being consistent with those videos this year! By doing so, I think it really has created a domino effect and an extraordinary result! You being consistent has reminded us to also be and mostly showed us it is possible to stick with our words. And if we can stay loyal to what we said we were going to do long after our mood we said it in has left us, well it means it’s becoming a new habit. And habits are really the building blocks of our house!

This year I’ve been like you would say “pulling the rubber band” just a bit more in as many moments I could! Trying to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone as much as I could which has brought amazing new experiences&feelings and realizations!

For this coming year, I want to continue on creating this new pathway, where fears don’t rule our life but where we become the actors/actress of our game and where we take each day as an opportunity to meet new people, try new activities, open doors and just experience every feeling that comes with it! Because when we take it like a game it really does change the whole experience and it’s just so much more fun! :)

Thank you for being my “alarm clock” to remind me to change my mindset when mine seemed to have stayed asleep ;)

You’ve been an inspiration&example this year and not a lot of people can play that role so THANK you!

Take care and I’ll see you on your tour! :)

  • watch your videos, learn from them, see myself change and grow day by day during this year is what makes me feel extraordinary now.

    Thanks, Matt!

    Best,
    Dennis

  • It has been such a great thing following your videos Mat.

  • Hey Matt,
I’m 17 years old,a senior in high school and I have been watching your videos since I was 14. I absolutely love them!!:D I have never dated and I don’t plan to until I’m in college or maybe even after college, but I feel like thanks to you I am getting prepared for that world and I thank you so much for that. You are an inspiration and listening to your wisdom has really helped me in life. An ordinary thing I have done this year is eat lunch with my mom and sister each day. It really has helped our strong bond grow and it is always something I look forward to:)

  • Photographers spend a bunch of money on their own equipment, and therefore
to spending 8-10 hours on their feet photographing wedding ceremony,
additionally, they spend more hours during the entire week editing their pictures to
perfection. Through by doing this, you can those special moments
    fresh and alive. adsense_ad_unit += ‘
