He “Ghosted” You? 3 Tips to Feel Better Fast

If I had to guess, over 7928753 women have now asked me what to do when a guy ghosts you.

Ghosting is when a guy you’ve been dating suddenly disappears: no messages, no phone calls, no tearful goodbye – just gone forever, never to be seen or heard from again.

Sounds brutal? It is.

In this week’s blog video, for the first time, I’m going to tell you my essential rules for responding to a guy if and WHEN you get ghosted (though here’s hoping you never do).

  • I think ghosting is a sign of immaturity and a deeper sign of a lack of self confidence. It doesn’t speak well for a man or woman to do this. It’s the sign of a jerk. When I’m not interested in someone I have the guts to tell them, so they can move on.

  • Tip #1: Watch this video and laugh at/with Matthew Hussy. Tip #2: Do whatever, and whenever you feel spooked go back to tip #1. Tip #3: Progress to tip #2.

  • Very good video again! :) I’ve been ghosted many times, and I think I’ve spent too much time on finding the answers -why.
So it’s good to hear some reinforcement on going foreward no matter what! And also to think it over -what can I do better next time?

  • Yeah thanx I have gotten was I looking for I think he is ghosting and I
I have no control over these its high time I move on with my beautiful life ahead.
    Than a lot.

  • Matthew, I absolutely love all your advise and I’m just now dating agian.I just turned 53 but honestly every guy that ask me out are no older than 34, an there’s a lot of them. I have no idea why I only attract young guys. Lol it’s not money if incase you thought that. Haha any way really not complaining just wonder if you had any clues. I will go out with a few guys bc I don’t wanna sit home an be bored while waiting for someone closer to my age. Lol I’m not getting any younger. And yeah I really do have a lot of fun. I enjoy the spontaneous guys and feel like I will not enjoy going out with older men now since all I have been dating is young hardbodies..thought maybe you would have a clue since I denied/or just not getting the bigger picture. Thanks so much for your time. Always Rena

  • I’ve been ghosted many times and one day, finally, I asked myself those questions you mentioned in the video. I focus on what I can control and don’t even care about closure (hint: it may never come or the way we dream it-trust me). And Matt, I DELETE and sometimes just BLOCK ghosts so they can’t even push their negative energy my way or “fall into feeling sorry” for them. Hell no! I laughed hard at your outtake comments.

  • oh I AM TERRIBLE! I AM THAT GHOST! and yes I have been living under a rock… I never heard the term until a *guy* used it on me.. like you say, I don’t have any reason to put up with anyone mistreating me so I block ’em with mr number so they can’t leave any message.

there are many reasons to “ghost” like if they bomb my phone with calls or texts. I DON’T CARE if he is soo into me… if he’s taking up all my time or hogging the in box of my phone he needs to knock that off. It’s beyond annoying.

feel better fast: it wasn’t you- it was the smart choice made by the one on the other end of the line. seriously, when one says no to you that means you have a chance of another saying yes. Take it as the gift that it is.

move along now. nothing else to see here. move along.
