  • Wonderful role-model video! Would that more people kept their very personal conversations at a lower level as you are showing here

  • Aghhh! I’m so excited to see behind the scenes! Behind the scenes has always been my favorite. As a filmmaker, and a fellow creative entrepreneur, I am really excited to see the day to day mechanics of the getting done of all you have to do to grow your dreams. This is such a great idea. I also want to give a high-five and shout out to Jameson for doing such an amazing job on the Fifty Shades of Earl Grey spoof! Outstanding work matching up with the real trailer. You too Mathew! You were better than the real guy they cast to play Christian. Love ya’ll !!

  • you’re opening yourself up and becoming more vulnerable! ;) love it. I always felt your strength was this- ‘making the human connection on a deeper level’ as the most important theme.

  • Matthew you are such an amazing handsome sweetheart ! :):)
Looking forward to “join” your journey, cause unfortunately I guess you won’t arrive to my country with your seminar.. keep doing your thing. I/we sure enjoy it !

  • Everyone has issues. I try to save mine for at least the second date. But, after fifteen years of ‘overcoming’ ms, the limp has become obvious, and I sometimes need a cane to get where I want to go. I have made so many choices in the spirit of overcoming, that ms is part of the fabric of my story. When and how can I explain my health condition to someone special, without being completely defined by what seems to be a limitation?

      1. Matt, I, too love this question. I’d really love to hear/read your response to her. This is really a great question. Kudos for asking this! There’s a lot us out there with certain insecurities which we suffer with. Help!

    1. hmm.. how about that video matt made with the als ice bucket challenge? didn’t he touch upon the topic of not letting your weaknesses be defined as oobstacles, but find what it is about them that makes them your strenght? Ditch your excuse and get the guy… it’s called..

  • What? You’re not perfect?!?! LOL

    Thank God!!!

Can’t wait to see you being a normal human, instead of the “super(hu)man” some people may think you are. ; )

Thank you for offering this side of you into the mix!

  • see you soon Matthew~
I have to say the london stage is pretty intimidating …Chicago one feel much cozier now ….

  • I’m so excited about the upcoming Love the Journey videos! I think it’s a fantastic idea to show that we’re ALL human underneath all the fluff ‘n stuff. The end of this video gaves me chills, when he introduced you at the O2 Arena and everyone in the crowd went crazy. You’re well-loved by all of us and I’m so grateful for your warmth, sincerity and helpful advice! xo

  • Missed you in NYC, had to cancel due to weather, so I can’t wait to see as many videos as possible

  • That is so generous Matthew, can’t wait to see it. Beautiful idea, coming from a place of generosity. You’re looking great. Kisses to Jameson!

  • Thank you so much, I look forward to learning more about the ups and downs of this journey through your eyes. it is very inspirational to watch you, and has renewed my hope in having the potential of having a good relationship again…

  • Hi Matt,

I’m dragging my cousin to your next event. In the meantime, wonder what your advice to her would be. She met an investment banker who seemed fine but the way things went, were odd. This is why I am making her attend your next live event. Here is what happened:

They saw each other for about 6 months. In between dates or when he was traveling for work he wrote endless “I love you” emails to her. Around American Thanksgiving last year, he told her that he suddenly had to move to Europe for a dream job. Then contacts her when he said he was now across the Atlantic from her. Here’s the catch: Turned out he was most likely still local yet had the audacity to ask my cousin “what can we create from this because I feel such a connection between us because you can see right through me.”

What he didn’t factor in the equation is an app like Steak. Not realizing that apps like it and similar others were designed to make sure people can verify critical e-mails were sent and received. So it’s not so much that my cousin has X-Ray vision but her email just happened to have the app attached to it. She had been an early adapter of the app for months and just never mentioned it to anyone since no one else in her circle said that were geographically not where they were. Steak was designed to indicate the time, date, and physical location of where and when a message was opened and read. So if it was read by the recipient on a device physically located at the time in Chicago, and they say they are in Munich, guess who the liar is.

She knew he was lying after his tale of life in Europe through email messages went on and on and on for two months. Eventually it was clear that it wasn’t a technical error but a simple, good old-fashioned lie. She didn’t confront him. She just deleted and blocked him from her phone, email, skype, etc.

Intellectually she knows its not her fault he lied so elaborately to her. But she is sad and confused still. Any advice? Yes, she began seeing a therapist after it happened, its helping but I’ve never seen her so heartbroken because of the shock of his crazy lies.

  • Hey Matt,

I love to see the things that go on behind backstage! It looks like it going to be very exciting and I can’t wait to see what it’s like at your events. Good luck on your Tour and take care of yourself and Jameson.

Looking forward to your new blog,
    Debbie
