  • Matthew, I love your dancing analogy. I was in a relationship for almost 30 years that was depressing and dysfunctional at best (we met when I was 17). A series of fortunate events woke me out of my haze and I somehow found you and your brilliant but accessible work. I never had “danced” before. With your guidance, I met a man who is now a partner to me in every way. With him, I was able to start to dance — metaphorically speaking. We met each other where we were. And then…we took an actual first dancing lesson together, something we had both wanted to learn but had never done. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. In many ways you saved my life…or at least a tremendous amount of additional pain and suffering. I will always be profoundly grateful for your guidance and teachings. Your Entire book is underlined. :))

  • I’m currently in a two year relationship, when it started it was amazing! He was everything I wanted in a partner, a year ago things changed, we currently live with each other and I thought it was me (I can be a twat). But after speaking to friends and family he is taking the biscuit. He doesn’t go to work leaving me to pay rent on a uni wage, there’s no support, no affection…. we argue. It’s unhealthy, but I can not leave ? I don’t know why I’m not afraid of being alone and I’m very independent but I feel stuck ? Is it love – I don’t know. I don’t know what to do
