My boring hero is called Emil and he is a waiter in a coffee bar within my faculty.
It happened few weeks ago, I was upset due to some exam results and I went to that bar for a cup of coffee to calm down a bit. I thought it’ll do to be alone for a while. Soon he approached and I ordered coffee, not looking straight at his face for I was trying hard not to burst into tears. But since I couldn’t answer his next question about something irrelevant, he figured out I wasn’t ok, and he went away immediately. To be honest, it seemed he was about to return with a napkin, but he completely blew me away when he brought, along with the coffee, two bars of chocolate! I instantly felt amazing and happy due to that sweet, genuine and unexpected gesture. He wouldn’t even let me pay for the coffee, he insisted to be his treat and wanted to make sure I felt better.
This waiter, almost a complete stranger to me, literally brought smile back onto my face, made my whole day that could be really depressing if this little thing didn’t happen…
My boring hero was a couple of years ago when I was at work. It was this little old man who wanted a trolley but they’d all gone from the door. When I returned with his trolley he said “thank you my dear, you’re the sweetest one working here. One day a man will marry you and win the lottery of life”
I have never forgotten that man, he made a day very bright and it cheers me whenever I think about it.

What a great story! I really have to think about the boring heroes in my life. But even more so I’d like to do this for someone else. Thanks for another opportunity to grow.
Those who ask me “where is your dog?” Are my boring heroes. My dog is a corgi, Jesse. She pass away couple of months ago. I always bring her in our neighborhood for a walk, we dnt talk to a lot of people during our dog walk. But after she pass away, I got some people stop me and keep asking me “where is your dog?” I simply explain to them she passed away. But the moment when someone actually ask that question, you feel very happy, because u know Jesse actually brought people joy, have their attention, and more importantly Jesse is in people’s heart even they don’t know her name, but they recognize her cute corgi face :)

My boring hero is my best friend. He always find a way to make me smile even if I don’t realize u need it.
I really like the glasses & white buttoned up shirt look! It shall be so…
I can think of some people in my life as my boring heroes, but in this moment I would like to say “I am my own heroine” (no boring at all), but boring in the sense of doing small things, like trying people consistenly kindly every time… looking for the best in people every time, everywhere… that is specially true in my dating life as well.

I have a friend who each year buys me a silly, yet thoughtful birthday present and makes the effort to be lovely and welcoming when I see her. She inspires me to be the silly, fun and quirky person I love being. She is one of my boring heroines!
