Hello MAtt, good morning, good afternoon, whatever is the time there. Hello.

I’ve been following your blog, almost a stalker, to be honest.
I have a question, I’ve been with this guy for quite sometime, and we’ve had our ups and downs, we’ve fought and reconciled in quite a number of times too. But, suddenly, he just cut me off.. never spoke to me, never answered my calls, emails, and etc. I haven’t tried doing the old fashioned snail mail yet, but I am considering.. Anyhoo, you see, I am extremely confused right now, and I am the kind of woman, who always ask when something is unclear, unsure or whatever… you get the idea. I’ve been asking what is wrong, but, I am not getting any answer from him, which is weird cause, everything was going good, we were laughing, and joking around, but, it’s just so sudden, that, he’s cut me off and truthfully it doesn’t make any sense to me. Cause, it happened, basically, in a snap. So, my question is.. how could I deal with this situation.. and I need a sort of clarity on this scene.

    Thanks
    Gigi

Matt, you are God’s gift to women, our secret weapon with men! I love you. I wish you were my personal effing coach!

I broke up with my live in boyfriend of 5 years because he has not once or twice but more than a handful of times refused to treat me and my children as a part of his family. Examples are not being with us at thanksgiving and excluding us from a college graduation dinner, refusing to marry you because he says I need to be the woman he wants and then he will. Felt like I was a lease with an option to buy. What do you do when he completely leaves you out in the cold. How do you move on whenyou are still living together and he acts as though he’s relived and shows no sign of sadness. Is he playing a game or is he already with someone else?

This just popped up and I couldn’t help but think, Build a bridge. That’s how you get over it.

I really needed to hear this today. I’ve been in that trap in the past and doing my best to stay out of it now. You’re right that it’s simple but it’s so damned hard!! Have a lovely day. :)

Oh Matt!! Where was this vid a few months ago?! Such helpful advice. Thanks hey, after going through the exact situation I got to the point where I had to ask for some space…

  7. Jenny says:

    Matt,
Of all your videos and love life radio bits I’ve seen, this one spoke to me the loudest. The one-month limbo that Veronica experienced was a place I spent four years in. It’s easy to say, “yes, but…” and hold on to the hope that he’ll come around, but your responses really simplified the situation. Thanks for your blunt honesty.

  8. Paula says:

God, you are an effing genius. What us girls think is so complicated and confusing, you make it soooo clear and simple we can’t believe we didn’t realize this ourselves. Thank you.

  9. Barbara says:

    Thanks!
Could you perhaps also please cover how to break up a relationship or stop dating in a sensible manner?
While I easily see whether or not it works out, I find it hard to end it, especially when the guy is much more interested than I

Thanks Matt! I agree fully with what you said. My boyfriend (now ex) broke up with me a month a ago. He keeps trying to get back in my life , yet has not invested in me. Much to his dislike I’ve only invested the same amount he has invested in me (like you’ve said).
Thank you for your videos, your book and seminars and your brothers blogs. They have been helping me move on from my break up. Normally I would have devastated after a break up, but I never felt more strong.
Following your advice I’ve been working on myself (and at times it’s hard), expanding my social network (ie people who add value into my life), trying new things, and yes even going on dates with other people!
Once again thank you for giving me the knowledge and the tools that have enriched my life greatly!
