This week I want to take you behind-the-scenes, and for you hear straight from mum on what to do when you feel you’ve lost your purpose, and how you can get through hard times.

At the Retreat in October, I said that this is how I decided to go on the Retreat. You told us at a Get the Guy Event that you chose the most beautiful places to hold the Retreats so that you could bring your Mum. I thought, what a good young man! I can trust him with this Retreat, (and I can always go hang by the pool with his Mum if I don’t like it :) Haha. Every minute of the Retreat was OUTSTANDING. So was meeting your wonderful Mum! ♥ All the best to you and your family as you overdeliver with another exciting Retreat.

I cried listening to your mum and seeing you sitting there next to her. I felt as though she was speaking directly to me.
I also have a son, he is 9. He’s a lovely, calm, happy and very wise young boy.
I’ve been going through a very dark and tough time but your mum’s clear, honest and peaceful words have made me tearful but they are tears of joy.
Please pass on my thanks to your mum for her weighty words and thank you also Matt for the wonderful work that you are doing.
Your mum is delightful and it is easy to see where you get your wisdom. I have a 19 year old son who is being a 19 year old, I hope someday, he’ll sit with his arm around me just like you two do!

LOVED IT!!! Good to know Matt comes from such a wonderful, grounded family where there is such love. Lucky man. Also, kudos to Matt for realizing that not everyone had the same fortune of being exposed to such a healthy environment growing up. Good advice from his mother too. Needed to hear that today. Going through a lot right now and felt like giving up. Made my day!
I would just like you to know that at a very hard time in my life your mums words brought tears to my eyes. The love you have for her is amazing. I have 3 gorgeous daughters and I know they love me and that things will get better!

Nice support of your mom. I love that! What a brilliant lesson for all women how the men in your life, who love you, should treat you.
Teaching respect, to respect yourself and how to get the respect of others is so very important. I would like to see more advice on how to command the respect of others, so the relationship is a healthy one.
I need advice on how to not ever let a man I love disrespect me again, as I had allowed my ex-husband to treat me, while we were married.
