  • Ooohh Mattie! I do love you so! If nothing else, you did make me laugh and if that is all i get for Valentines day, well i am satisfied! Be well and keep bringing joy to ur many followers muaah!

  • Loved the video :) Great advice as always…
I’ve always loved Valentine’s day, even though the last couple of years it hasn’t been exactly romantic for me (and the one year I was with someone, the guy I was dating did send me roses, but I later found out he sent roses to another woman too). This day though has always had some sort of meaning to me because significant, non romantic things have occured to me on that day ( e.g.:I finally let go of a very toxic relationship one V-Day…I got good academic news another v-day, my beloved dog was born another Valentine’s…). Valentines 2014 is coming up and even though it’s another one that I spend single, it’s ok…I do enjoy spreading love that day (I make treats to bring to work, make cards for my friends, and it plan on spending this evening with my fellow single friends/my Valentines!). It doesn’t make me TOO miserable to see all the lovey dovey couples all around because I do firmly believe that one day, I’ll experience that again too :) I’d rather be single that be with someone just for the sake of not being alone, among other things.
I hope to see you in LA soon, Matt!

  • Hey Matt!

Happy Valentine’s Day! Fun video and I love Jameson. (“Someone” was laughing. He’s real!)

    –Prefers to be called A.

  • haha Matt, you said you were counting in Japanese, but really you were counting in Chinese ( Mandarin) . 1 yi 2. er. 3. san 4. si………

  • Great video with some excellent advice as usual. I know some women like that, and they’d definitely would benefit from hearing these tips. I’ll probably just be spending the day with family and friends, waiting for the chocolates to get discounted. :-)

Love the humour in this video as well. LOL @ the photo of Winnipeg! My friends and I got to see you in Toronto, so thankfully the weather wasn’t as cold. :-D

  • Entertaining and inspiring as always. I was cracking up.

I definitely fall between 1 and 2 on Valentine’s day. Three years ago when I entered Uni, my roommate and I decided to spend Valentine’s day together. Since we were both single, we watched sappy, love stories and threw chocolates at the TV. (Not the good chocolates of course. Wouldn’t want to waste that) While we were anti-Valentine’s that year, it has been a tradition ever since and always makes for a fun time.

  • I´m not one of that kind of woman, but I still hate Valentines Day. February is suposed to be the month of my birthday not of couples : (

  • I went to see Matt on his tour yesterday, in London. He was amazing – I recommend it 100%. I’ve gone from omg it’s almost valentines, I’m so upset at not having anyone to who carers I’m single and Fabulous :-)) xxxx

  • so funny!!i wish i had the time and money to go in your Tour Get the guy…but i have your videos…i think im or the rose number 1 or 2…but im glad you destroyed…im free now….no rose…maybe i will be a garden! :) kiss* happy valentine

  • Single lady, rose # 2 here. Thanks for the outtakes and the Winnipeg reference. Hilarious, laughs for valentines, or single awareness day, greatly appreciated!
I promise to keep a smile on that day irregardless of how I feel!
    Thanks,
    Leecis

  • Ha ha Matt, ‘the most miserable women’! Oh yes, the ‘wrong guy’ as you put it really knows how to excel on this day, as with Xmas too. Although it’s a little disconcerting when the only presents you receive could not possibly be opened in front of your friends and family.
I don’t care whether it’s a special romantic day or not, as if someone is more often than not acting inappropriately they have to be ( I was going to say terminated, but that’s probably a bit drastic) finished with.
Have a great time on your tour. Lots of luck and best wishes,
    Kathryn x

  • OMG…could you be any damn cuter?! Love your humor! Too bad there aren’t lots of men just like you. If there were, the world would be a much happier place. Thanks for inspiring and encouraging so many women :) XOXO

  • MATTHEW, how am I supposed to Get The Guy when I’ve got a mad crush on you….You are the worst Love Guru in the world because you have every single woman panting for YOU……a shrewd business man yes, but your not helping me cause I get all excited for your videos, to see and hear you….Egawds man, pick your nose or something…….Sigh…..Call me, I’ll buy you coffee.

  • Matthew – GREAT.. UNTIL.. you destroyed those beautiful roses. Understand the point you wanted to make. Next time shred some paper roses and put the live ones in a vase and give them the LOVE THEY DESERVE. respectfully, Stefanie
