Love you Matt. Your personal coaching continues to inspire and create more happiness in my life. Thank you so much! Am in New Zealand and recently gone self employed so one of my goals is to get to one of your retreats. Please keep doing them as it will be late next year hopefully that I can attend and benefit from your teachings. Huge appreciation x

I love this video with the background of your vacation. It gives me calming effects from the water yet rejuvenate from the colors to do anything, everything! Your words of wisdom reminds me why I enjoy almost any job or chore I do. I call it my attitude, you refer to it as context. Either way its all how we perceive things. As we grow to realize we can’t change people only ourselves, although we can encourage others, its mainly changes within ourselves that is the ultimate diffence in our lives. Background can be anything and temporary changes of it can inspire. Example: I use to work out with Denise Austin on tv; but when she starting going to different islands, I would be excited to work out to see the ocean views.

  4. Marion says:

thank you for this video, i have an anatomy and physiology exam next month, which i wasnt looking forward to studying for, but thanks to your thoughts and ideas, i am looking at things in a different light, thank you so much.

I got very inspired with the phrase:” Fall
in love with the small moments in life”!!!!
I just finished reading the book” The Secret”
My marriage ended 2 years ago after 26 years,
so it has been gard building
    myself up again…
Can I get tickets to the Florida retreat inFlorida?
I would love to learn and grow

  6. Susan says:

Yes! I fully appreciate these topics that cover a wider swath! I’m no longer interested in finding a guy. I’m interested in building a life. This had been the most challenging, most humbling year of my life. I’m grateful for the lessons and I’m glad to hear you speak in more general terms. : )

  7. Stephanie says:

Hi Matt! I love those videos!

I was wondering how do you get out of ruts? I’m trying to get a job (career) but nothing seems to work! I’ve tried different things as well, but I’m stuck.

  8. anne says:

    Hi Matt,
I enjoyed seeing a little of Bora Bora and the cheerful music. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts beyond dating. It’s the stuff beneath; finding my peeps/relationship.. i’m thinking that falls into place later.
(just watched it a second time).

  9. Ashley says:

Hello Matthew Hussey! I’ve been incorporating your words of wisdom into my personal development over the past year and felt like I needed to share a personal tangent off this beautiful video (Bora Bora eh… I better be invited next time ;-) )

So I’m leaving tomorrow for a vacation to my home town for a wedding (who doesn’t love a good wedding with an open bar?!) and have been generally unhappy with work for a while now. I made a joke to an old friend a couple weeks ago that my boss will be lucky if I return and it made me REALLY think about why that is. I love my profession (mixed animal veterinarian) and despite some daily obstacles, I believe that I chose the right profession. I also really like my boss personally (nice guy, friendly and easy to get along with), so why am I so freakin unhappy? It’s not because he’s a dick… It’s not because he’s controlling… It has nothing to do with the location… A month ago I even finished reading Work With Me (great read about the blind spots between men and women in the workplace) and even this new found understanding about the innate differences between me and my male boss didn’t do the trick so what’s the real problem???? Over the past year I have immersed myself in learning about the core differences between men and women in life, love and relationships and I love men a million times more now than I did before and it shows in my now successful personal life so what the heck is up? Well, after many nights of soul searching I realized it is because our core business and medical values don’t line up, not to mention the fact that I feel undervalued for the hard work I do. *Lightbulb* It’s because our CORE values are not aligned. Duh. What is one of the most important relationship principles. If your values do not align then the relationship is doomed. Double duh. Suddenly it all makes sense. The worst part is that I declined his job offer twice before being convinced to take it (big mistake). On some level I knew our values were not aligned. So full circle now back to my ever evolving relationship wisdom… Ladies I’m not saying don’t go on a second date with a guy because of an instinct (unless it’s screaming this man is dangerous), but don’t marry the guy. Before anybody gets into a serious relationship (move in, marriage, change zip codes etc) sit down and write down your CORE personal values and write down his. If they don’t align (everybody can work with I like wine and he likes beer… not a core value) then POLITELY excuse yourself from the relationship (personal or professional) before you regret this big change or commitment. As you have said before Matthew, you can work with expectations, but values are another beast entirely. They are what motivate us! They are what drive us at our core! And I do not believe they should ever be compromised!

Tangent complete. I hope somebody learns from my mistake either personally or professionally. Thanks again Matthew for all your hard work and insight in this field and I hope you always retain your professional enthusiasm! And I wasn’t kidding about expecting an invite next trip to someplace exotic ;-)

  10. Michelle says:

You’re so awesome! I really love the message of this video. Life can be so special and adventurous when one finds a passion that no longer has work feeling like a job. I mean check you out, “on the job” while on vacation! It’s truly wonderful and inspiring. I can definitely see how this translates into making someone more attractive as a result of healthy self-esteem and drive to create such a great life. Thank you for all you do :)

  11. Daniela says:

    Loved it, thanks Matt

  12. AspieCatholic Girl says:

I’m curious: what were the books you read on Bora Bora?

  13. Leah says:

I love when you talk about not just our love lives, but how we live life in general. Great stuff, Matt!

  14. EO says:

    Inspiring, as usual
    Thank you

  15. Courtney Carnaggio says:

    LOVE :)

  16. Mildred says:

Thank you Matt! Every little piece of advice you give us is very useful for me. I appreciate you also share your knowlegde charge free. I’ve been dreaming about taking the onlime course. Even though I don’t have the money yet, I hope I can take it ASAP :D I hope you enjoy your holodays and thank u again =D

  17. Cathy says:

    I love theses videos, Matt!

  18. Marissa Lluch says:

    I loved this video!

  19. Erin says:

I was in Bora Bora this weekend too! Sad I didn’t run into you :-( Were you at the four seasons?

  20. Jenifer Kaplan says:

    Hi Matthew,
I am an avid reader myself. Glad you are taking time for yourself. This came at the PERFECT time. I have been doing so much work on myself. I have been going through an elimination diet (trying to detox from all of the toxicity in my system and the environmental attribution), reading the book Clean, A book on Manifestation, Doing a Vision Board, Tailoring some subliminal manifestation for a positive sleep and being open to shifts and changes- never mind my daily rituals of staying on task, working, creating a new business (logo, llc, etc.) AND working on the love life. With all the materials that are in place- which are great, I think at times one can be overwhelmed by the shifts and “work” involved. The fun and joy tend to get stifled because one is looking for a pay off. As you know when you take accountability or stock of one area of your life, the changes and things that need to be worked on show up in ALL areas of your life. So this video reminded me to take stock, breathe, and enjoy the process of becoming a shiner version of myself. AND- it also reminded me that there will be pay offs…just be patient and that they may occur in ways that are unexpected and to be open to how it all unfolds.

  21. kayla says:

Absolutely love these types of videos. When I started watching your videos about a year ago I became obsessed with researching attraction and body language. I wanted to figure out this zoo we are all living in, I fell in love with psychology. Throughout the year I have shifted my interests to having the ultimate lifestyle and obsessing over self help books I guess you can call em. Your entrepreneurship video I have watched a few times and shared with a handful of people. You have an energy about you that is motivating in itself. If I don’t make it to another one of your seminars (orange county, chick in front with the helmet and way too much stuff…busy day, don’t ask lol)Then just know that your hard work and research has dramatically changed my life for the better. There is no way I can ever repay you for the mindsets you have planted. I really hope you find adventure in everything and take this life by the balls…lol yeah that just happened…anywho I am done writing a novel now lol. Thank you Matt…cheers.

  22. Stephanie says:

The idea of changing something a situation you don’t want to be in is a brilliant idea however I didn’t understand what you meant with context. You need to expand on this more. Love everything else in the video. Nice to see beautiful places you will never get to.

  23. Whitney says:

    Hi Matt,

So I caught the guy and am at a point in my life where I’m finally where I need to be self-esteem wise and there are so many parts of me that want this to work, BUT

I keep falling into this pool of anxiety where I am worried about going over and seeing him, just he and I. I know that it will push our relationship much further along and we have so much clay to work with that I almost don’t know what to do with it. It’s like I’m suddenly terrified of committing to him (granted it would be my first relationship in years), but I don’t know what to do. Why am I feeling this way?

  24. Irma Dolores says:

Thank you very much for this video. I never write something like this because I think could sound repeated.

I appreciate you taking the time to teach me something new. Through our daily activities people can touch the lives of others in varios ways.

I try to remember every day: what am I going to do today to become more atractive? You left me that, and I think it is an amaizing idea. By the way I never heard again about the brainal, do you have anything else like that?

Send you lots of hugs from Sonora, Mexico! Don’t forget to use a sun blocker every two hours at least in the sea level.

  25. Rowan says:

Bora Bora looks beautiful, consider me jealous.

I just can’t figure how to make a job I loathe and hate, one for which I can not find any little thing about it that I like, have a different context. It is terrible pay dealing with selfish people, with stuck up and obnoxious co-workers, that will not give me enough hours nor room for movement within the company. And to top that off it’s boring and creatively stifling. The only reason I’m still there is because I live paycheck to paycheck and simply quitting w/out another job lined up is not an option.

While under other circumstances I could see this video being very, very useful I just don’t see this working for me @ present. I look forward to your next video Matt, keep ’em coming.

  26. Chandra says:

    Hi Matthew,
This is Chandra from India I accidentally saw your “3 Confident Female Mindsets That Drive Guys Wild“ on you tube, Was a wow factor, Actually made me to watch more and more video’s, I than watched you in “The Biggest Myth About Strong Women “and the way you answered patty’s question was amazing and was a lesson for me as well, as I was at patty’s situation (The independent women). the video helped me to analyze , how to improve myself, I was in the process of doing so for a long time, wasn’t able to achieve the success I expected, but you just made that simple for me, have prepared and given me a marble road to achieve my goal.
The way you simplified things for me is simply awesome.
Yes the another inspired video of yours was “This Secret Makes Work Feel Like Paradise“ you explained the absolute thing I do at work just to not get bored and keep up my spirit, is to change our context(enjoy what you are doing). The best part is this that you thought about the topic right there and just like that shot it and posted it on you tube, an incredible technology we have got with us to get your fresh thought. I hope you enjoyed borabora.
Thank you for your contribution for the world, the important lesson I learnt today is to appreciate others and I am starting it with you. Keep up the good work.
    God bless you.
    Chandra SR.

  27. Kate says:

Awesome, Matt!! Bora Bora is my dream vacation destination. Just +1’ed on google plus.

  28. Victoria says:

Matt, we love these videos, life isn’t just about flirting etc so it’s all good…your retreats though are insanely expensive. I love the work you do and I bought the man myth and thought it offered a fair value for the price and I felt like I needed to go on and do work on myself, not only in my dating life but my life in general (as I truly want to shine and I have a potential, which I’m not fully using) so after some searching I singed up for a 13 month program for the same price that you offer for your 5 day retreat!! You are excellent but so are they (the people I singed up with) but there is a huge gap in value. The continuous support you get during the 13 months with 5 live workshops isn’t the same as a 5 day support even if in the end you get the same info and work the same inner parts of yourself.
I didn’t mean to be negative but I really believe the retreat pricing is off. I have friends that love you and would love to do the retreat but they can’t even imagine to shed that much money plus flights and accommodation. Maybe a price revision is in order? :)

  29. kerstin says:

i enjoy your videos hugely, you give me lots of things to think about & i feel like a started a huge puzzle, every now & then i get an idea of how my life can be filled with more value; so thank you for that & please continue with your enthusiasm, which is wonderful!
i’d love to take part in your retreat this year, unfortunately i can’t take my holidays at these dates – therefore i would appreciate it very much, if you could recommend one or two books on self-development, which is better than just waiting. hopefully i get a chance next year.
enjoy your holidays, take care, kerstin

  30. S says:

Hi Matt, just saw your retreat video. I wondered if you would recommend any books on developing / maintaining your core confidence? or give a top 3! there’s so many self development books out there. enjoy your holiday
    Thank you, S

  31. D says:

I always like your videos Matt…no matter what you do. They are always interesting. Thank you!

  32. Victoria B.Penn says:

    Hi Matthew!
What a paradise for sure….so gorgeous there! Loved the video which was a simple ,but thought provoking message. We live in paradse here too in Naples, FL as the snowbirds love us here and Naples is finally on the map. Naples used to be a sleepy fishing village, now it’s an upscale thriving community which is very elegant. I hope to catch your retreat in FL in October this year!
    Sweet dreams in Paradise!

  33. Agostinha Jacinto says:

:) Thanks MATT!!! and please make more videos like this…not getting only the guy…but also getting the life you dream or deserve…how to appreciate life! :)

i wish the retreat was in europe! :) Kiss*

  34. Alexis Marie says:

A Much deserved holiday it seems!! This is awesome!

Yes, please keep doing these vids. I have always thought that your vids about ‘getting the guy’ and more ‘life’ vids go hand-in-hand e.g when you say ‘this doesn’t just apply in your love life, it also applies..’

I like how you deliver and make these connections. You might just be the best at it (or at least, that I’ve come across)

    Thanks Matt.

  35. Kaat says:

Always helpful and insightful – thank you for this. Nice tan btw..

  36. Mansie says:

    Hey Matthew,

I just want to say to you, you are an amazzzzingggg person. Its great, how you have developed your skills to help others and bring happiness to others.
I love watching your videos, you completely cheer me up, and give me a boost for the rest of my day. I just go to youtube to watch your videos, related to confidence, and self development whenever I am feeling low and it uplifts my mood and brings a lot of hope to me. I just want to say keep up the good work! May God Bless you! and bring you all the happiness that you deserve!

  37. erika says:

Amazing content! I Love this video. I really do need to change my context since I cannot change my circumstance at this particular point in time.
    Thank you Matthew <3

  38. Fernanda says:

    1- you are amazing!!
    2-bora bora is magical
3- I did the same jump you did when I was there:)
4- there was a huge shark swimming under my bungalow
5- your vid made me smile
6- keep doing what you do
    Much looooveee

  39. Fernanda says:

    Amazing Mattt!!! Well done:)

  40. Amy says:

Yes. Grow where you are planted. I am defined by the choices of my life; not by the so-called love(s) of my life. Love is only an ingredient. Life is the main dish…so delish! It’s what you make it. More videos of life enrichment.
    Thank you Matthew.

  41. Anna Blendermann says:

I actually love your videos on general life tips, your insight and advice is amazing! Can I come to bora bora now? :)

  42. Raimee says:

So jealous of your location right now.
Thanks for the great advice! Definitely resonated with me a lot. Especiailly the part about changing the context of situations. SO TRUE.

  43. Faizah says:

Thank you matt, what a beautiful place!
I admire your life-coaching in general, it’s one of the reasons why I subscribe on your blog. Keep all the kinds of advice coming, whether they’re for relationships or life in general. Actually, improving ourselves as people, will make our love life better (it’s one of the things I learned from you).

    Have a great vacation.

  44. Lauren Elliott says:

We like it, Matt. :) Thank you for sharing!

  45. Erin says:

I definitely love these videos on self-development! Please keep them coming!

  46. Kelly says:

First of all your videos should always be from that location because it’s gorgeous there. And wouldn’t be a bad deal for you either. I listened to your video in my car on a sad dude setback of a day and was immediately distracted and re-energized for life and possibly love, I drove home and started re-reading your book outside. Thanks your video was super inspirational.

  47. Theresa says:

I enjoy watching your videos, especially this one, Matthew. The changing the context concept of yours is very practical and doable. The excitement in spending that holiday is very much felt in the video. I’m very happy for you. Enjoy Bora-Bora! Thank you for sharing.

  48. Angelica D says:

Thank you, Gracias Matthews.. I alwys enjoy your comments and you has help me to be a better woman, but I sad i dont have the money to go and see you in person.

  49. Jacqueline says:

    Gorgeous Bora Bora!!!
Yes, this video is so true. I also turned my love for writing and making a low budget short indie into WORK. Which resulted in burnout. Now, I’ve learned it’s about having fun; as my filmmaker and a friend told me all along. I’m writing again because that is one of my passions and will have fun making the movie.

Same thing began to occur with Karaoke that I recently began. The first time was sheer FUN. Suddenly, I considered taking singing lessons. Then, I realized this initially is all about fun and playing. Not Work/Goals which becomes drudgery.

So, thank you for your so very insightful and true video.

    Love your weekly videos!

  50. Kathryn says:

Your video makes me think of a comment you made in that one can have all the success in the world but we need to have great human connections, relationships. I have visited paradise and had a greater connection to the tropical fish than my holiday companion, lol!
Serious study can wipe out all enjoyment of reading and I am now loving reading again, in thanks to your brother Stephen. I find him totally inspirational so thank you for introducing him to us Matthew.
You obviously work so hard, I hope you really had a chance to relax and rewind in such a beautiful place. You deserve all your successes and you show us how much of a lovely person you are when we see you with your family. The respect you have for your mother is so touching, it is lovely to see.
Thank you for all your wonderful advice, seemingly given with compassion for some of us who are seriously less enlightened than you.
    Many Thanks,
    Kathryn x

  51. Darlene says:

    How thoughtful, beautiful AND cute
(Loved the music & the little snips of you
    enjoying your Bora Bora Vacay)
Keep them coming, & see you in June!!

  52. Briana Tomboulian says:

Love the message! This is similar to what I hear from many spiritual teachers that say where ever you go and whatever you do, it’s still you there. So changing your mindset is really the only way to find happiness long-term. Thanks for sharing and inspiring :)

  53. Tricia says:

Visually beautiful video with an important message. More like this please!

  54. Daria says:

Could you make a video about how to stop worrying about what other people think about you, I mean how REALLY stop worrying about it? It constantly impedes my progress, because I’m afraid that if I go out there and do something with my life I’ll be immediately judged by everyone or I’ll fail and I’ll be feeling like a total loser. I know it’s no way to live your life, but I can’t stop thinking about it. Facebook has completely changed my way of perceiving other people and their accomplishments. Whenever I log into Facebook I end up being depressed and feeling awful about my life because of this constant flow of status updates and pictures depicting what “fabulous” things all of my facebook friends (cause they’re not my real friends, maybe 5 of these people I talk to regularly) do everyday. And I just don’t feel the need to post details about my life on Facebook. I don’t want people to know what I am eating, what I am doing, who I am with, and so on. Sometimes I wonder if there is something wrong with me, since I want to keep my life to myself and not brag about every little thing I do on Facebook. I just feel left out. I don’t know how to move on from this Facebook era and start living my life and stop comparing myself to others. Even my sister posts all kinds of stuff on Facebook and Instagram. For me, there is just no point. It’s a waste of time and it’s freaking shallow. So, my basic question is this: how to stop caring what others might think about me and my life and how to live my life the way I want to? I would really love to hear your advice about this issue. I love the videos in which you talk about life in general and not just dating. Thank you for all of them!

    All the best,

    • Holly says:

      Hi Daria,

I completely hear you on this one. It would be a much appreciated video.

Facebook is totally unhelpful in this respect, always seeing the airbrushed versions of other people’s lives. I suspended my account a while back, and I don’t miss it. There are plenty of other ways to keep up with interesting content, and friends are still contactable through other channels. I’d definitely recommend trying it – you can always reactivate it later.

  55. Liz says:

Matthew – yes, yes, yes, love the videos about improving my life – please continue with these as well as the ones about how to get the guy. They are all connected anyway. It’s about improving myself and living my best life, and the men will follow. In the vein of ‘if you build it, he will come’! Thanks for helping us to build it, our best life.

  56. Anastasia says:

    Hi Mat,

Thank you for the great advise!!I really need to think what I can pull of my work, so I will enjoy it much more. At the moment, I find it stressful and demanding.
Would you be so kind and recommended some books for self-development, please?!:)) I’d appreciate it very much….

  57. Maya Morgan says:

Yeah!!!! :) Happy you took some time off to resource yourself, definitely deserved it! I actually really love when you talk about more general principles or ways to change our mindset and attitude regarding our daily life. Love life is one part of the whole life experience and I think it’s very empowering to understand new ways of seeing our life and changing patterns on a deeper lever that will totally change our overall experience :) Love what you say about how this “change your life quick fix” way that can also become a running away and in the end we might just need to readjust our position and and find new ways to enjoy something that we lost interest in. Change of glasses and changing from the inside out how we perceive things seems like a better long term way of satisfaction!! :)

HAVE FUN Mat, read books, take sunshine, kick back and relax and when you get back share with us your reflexions :)

    Learning is endless… :)

    Send you good vibes

  58. Petra says:

Agree, constantly changing means you are running away. You can easily become addicted to change and bring it as solution everytime sth goes wrong. As you said, rather change the way you think about your situation, change the context…this will work ;)

  59. Emily says:

    Yep, jealous.

  60. Radwa says:

    Hi Matt ,

waw , Bora Bora looks amazing , I hope you enjoy your vacation , I guess we all are jealous of you :):):):)

I like your ideas about self development in general , because it helps us in so many situations , not just love life .

    thanks a lot .

  61. Colleen says:

Change the CONTEXT! Love it! Thank you.

  62. Judy says:

I always enjoy you sharing your videos with great info.
I have been to Bora bora and loved it. A fabulous getaway.

  63. Jan says:

Aloha Matt, Thanks for your insights on expanding self development. Bora Boring…try the Big Island of Hawaii next holiday! Have you ever seen an active volcano? I promise you will have experiences like never before, which will result in producing an inspirational video that you, Jameson, and all would enjoy!!!!

  64. Luz says:

Hi thanks for this pick me up! Your advice is always practical keep up the ideas and will definitely put it into ¨work¨.

  65. Plamena says:

Love the video, very useful and wise information! Thank you! And you look very good with the tan! :)

  66. Sk says:

Yes! I find these kinds of videos you make to be extremely motivating and insightful. Please share more as they come about!

  67. Ann says:

I love it when you expand into general life issues. Please keep them coming!

I totally relate to what you said about reading becoming a chore. I taught university–level English Lit courses because I loved books and reading, but eventually got to a point where I couldn’t read anything without a pen in my hand, thinking “how can I work this into a lecture?” It was a blessing in disguise when I was laid off, as I got to experience reading for pleasure again. (And hey, I wouldn’t have found your book in my old life!).

  68. M. says:

Watching the beautiful ocean on your back made me feel like being on a holiday myself, so, great! :)

I also really enjoyed the content very much.
I love your dating advices, but this other level is also sooo important…
So thank you and have a safe back trip home!

  69. ANGELA says:

Love it, your videos keep me thinking and reevaluating my life. thanks so much

  70. Donna says:

P.S. YES, keep doing the videos. So much more comes through than with the blog. It’s the passionate communication that sells the point. Face to face, eye contact, smile, enthusiasm. It’s all great!

  71. Donna says:

Makes me want to visit Bora Bora. The scenery is very nice and the mountains and water are not bad, either. :-)

  72. Ronalda says:

Your dead on…I was just dealing with the same situation, in my quiet time.

Be refreshed and may all that your given in your external world, help you to see your internal world much clearer.

    Be blessed,

  73. Stella says:

No matter what your content, it’s always relevant always useful always thought-provoking! Keep it coming Matt thank you!

I too also learned to put the pen and highlighter down and yes, it made reading enjoyable again.

    My next holiday… Bora-Bora :-)

  74. Tiffany says:

The water is soooo blue!!!! I mean, yes I get it… gotta shake it up a bit sometimes, remember why you loved it in the first place :)

  75. Laura Rosca says:

    Hello Matt,

The videos are great! Love the ones on coaching, and the ones on improving your life. I am a singer & MC from Bucharest, Romania, and have loved your work from the start! Being in the entertainment industry is not always easy, but i found a way of incorporating your advices in everything i do! At work but even in my personal life! And even though i knew most of the things you teach us, it was more inspiring when seeing you speak them. I’m glad you exist, i think what you do and why you do it, is awsome, and hey, glad the internet brings your work closer to me/ us, your fans! i’ve been telling all of my friends about you, cuz once again, i think what you do is just a blesing! Looking forward to seeing you in this beautiful part of Europe, my town, Bucharest – Romania!

It was such a coincidence. This morning I had been mediating on the word ‘boring’ ‘repetition’ ‘routines’ and ‘discipline’. The problem is we often see things that we ‘repeat’ as uninteresting. They often do not naturally motivate us.

So to keep ourselves encouraged we need to practise everyday thinking of things which encourage us, this will ensure that we stay in alignment. We also need to play. Micheal was bored of reading so he allowed himself the space to read anything he felt inspired by. This acted as a primer for other ideas to be generated.

If you exercise everyday I would suggest, changing the focus of your routine. If you go to a gym see how many people you can get talking to. If you run in a park make noticing nature a focus.

I loved the Bora Bora video because it so genuinely depicts a potential problem that plights us all. Therefore, we all need to ‘explore’ regularly to keep our flame burning.

I thought I was only one who “double booked” in high school and university.

I still read with a pen/pencil or highlighter even when just for fun. I made it a game, now that I can actually write in books (it used to freak me out – a friend of mine actually made a comic strip about it, but I disgress).

It’s true that anything – and I do mean anything – can become work or a chore if you see it that way.

Thank you for the reminder and enjoy the rest of your vacation.

    Hi Matt,

Love all your videos and I think these videos about changing or improving your life are a great addition to your other coaching videos. Please continue making these life changing videos in addition to the ones about dating, etc. I’m dealing with the recovery of a burn-out for the past few months and it’s been you and all your online programs that have helped me through these difficult times. I look forward to your weekly videos and every time I feel down and can use some coaching I just watch one of your videos of your programs! You always manage to put a smile on my face. :) And that’s just a bonus for me, cause I’ve also learned so much about dating thanks to you, after being in a relationship for years and having to go back on the singles market again. Thanks for doing what you do and please never stop! Hopefully, I can attend your five day retreat program one day…

    Enjoy your well-deserved holiday!

  79. Suzie says:

I said this to you on Retreat, and I’ll say it again: I am immensely grateful for the time you spent (and still spend) learning all the psychology, human dynamics etc that you now share with us. Every time I watch one of your videos is a huge breath of fresh air.

By the way – it was less than two years ago that I first came across your videos online and went on the women’s weekend (the “Hussey’s Angels” one…) I’m just about to move in with my partner. Check out the high value on this ;P

But here’s the thing – you’ll never guess how I met him! All being well, I’ll be at the June 14 event in London, so I can tell you about it. I think you’re missing a pretty cool trick ;)

  80. Eliza says:

I love your video’s on how to change your life, I like your style and your wisdoms and techniques. It always cheers me up. I’d like to see more life coaching video’s, maybe even a book if the time’s right!

  81. Skye says:

Matt, it’s so sweet you always ask us what we think of your videos. But the truth is, we love ALL your videos. The funny ones, the serious ones, the silly ones, the holiday ones, the retreat ones… just all of them. And that’s simply because we all love you, period. And we love you because you love us… if you know what I mean. Thank you Matt – you’re awesome! And yeay for Bora Bora, holidays, reading and enjoying life the the fullest! :)

    • Zsuzsy says:

Amen to Skye’s comments. Couldn’t have said it better.
(I did get a little queasy near the end of the video -felt like I was on a boat rocking. Stick with Jameson!)

  82. Kerly says:

Hi Matt , loved the video as always!
Jealous of the scenery! But will be going on a holiday soon as well so all good:p
So about the video… That is so me. As in I can enjoy something so so much as long as I know it’s my own will , but as soon as I HAVE TO DO it , it’s not enjoyable or fun anyone, even if it is something that I usually enjoy.
For example I’m really into fitness and I love reading all kinds of articles and watch videos on new ideas about training and just educate myself in everything related to fitness, but now I’m doing a course that gives me a lot if useful information and what I read is interesting and useful but I don’t enjoy reading h the coursework stuff as it’s something I HAVE to do in order to pass the course. I find it so hard to concentrate, so whilst I do my coursework I find myself suddenly on my phone reading an article about training methods (similar information I have in my course workbooks) … How stupid is that!!:D
But yeah in general even if you enjoy something if you have to do it it changes things and your attitude towards it;)
But thanks for the video I love everything related to self development ;)

  83. Martina says:

Yees Matt, I like videos like this, please do more :-)

  84. T says:

Hey! I could never put into words how much all I’ve learned from you has transformed my life. From fast track to me right, keep the guy, the blog and Stevens articles I found a kind of coach that continues to guide me as I check in weekly for refreshers and new insights.
I can only rely on your own knowledge at the magnificent value your information is for me to feel that you do understand how much this can all save a person. Especially those who really take it on.

As any student if yours who really takes it on, I have come to not just except but actually make real the fact that I must radiate in a full filling life of my own creation in order to attract the kind of energy (let’s say) in another person. But to do it truly for the love of life and myself is key.

Therefore I would like to say yes please continue giving life, career, ect skills as this is one of the pillars of ones happiness/radiance and ultimately attractiveness (combined with all the realationship info and keeping my body as beautiful fit and Gorgous as I can!). I know you already know all this so yes please!

Just as long as the amount of relation ship tips and insights into the male mind doesn’t get reduced please and thanku!

Any way great to see you on vacation. And thanku for eternity for what you have given me and countless others.

  86. Marisol says:

    Hi Matthew!

Loved the video!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful view with us, and kudos on making a video without the usual assistance!!

I would love to know what your favourite books are… I’ve been trying to make a list of the ones you mention on the courses, but I simply know you must have a list of top 5 books you would recommend.

Can you tell us what those books would be?

    Have a great time!!!

  87. Claire says:

    Hello Matt!

Glad you are having a fantastic holiday! It’s important. :-) This is a very good piece of advice you give and made me think back to something I read recently read about the Yakuana Indians in the amazon forest. The Yakuana have no words for work. They only call each task they carry out for what it is. They also reportedly are very joyful even when carrying out difficult tasks. I had been reading the book ‘Continuum concept’ by Jean Liedloff.

God bless and have a beautiful day!

  88. Feebee says:

Yes, please keep these videos coming. They are helpful :) Thanks Matt.

  89. Erica says:

Hey Matt. I did like the video. i must say at first i was expecting something big relating to human dynamics or relationships and love life. But the video was more about self help and i appreciate that. i like how you give us a variety of everything. I love those glasses you were wearing by the way. The look really good on you.fits your face well.
I almost never get a reply on these things.let me know when you read my comment. i’d appreciate it. Hope you’re well and your trip is going great! :D

  90. sherry says:

    Hey Matthew,
This is the first vid i saw when I woke up. It just feels exciting and easy when someone about your age delivers it. I have read so many things about perspective.. but it came from people I don’t know and wouldn’t know if it shows in their life. (walk the talk..) Anyway, for me getting bits of advices on short video adds spice and excitement on the topic. It’s very entertaining on a busy schedule and sticks to my mind as if you are talking to a friend. Thank you for doing this video and I hope you continue to do lots of videos to inspire people as who have inspired me today. God bless you.

  91. Olivia says:

Great Matt. Really enjoyed this one.

  92. Kristi says:

Ahhhh, Bora Bora, envious, envious. That’s one on my bucket list (of many-lol).
Perspective is an interesting topic. I just had this conversation this evening with friends about how it’s all relative and we have a choice as to how we choose to perseive certain situations. (Wine makes me even more philosophical than usual-;)). I so appreciate where I’m at in life but it’s due to my ability to manipulate situations to suit me. Sometimes I am able to alter the situation physically but when this isn’t an option, (or the best choice for growth and expansion) I need to ‘brain’ the situation and alter my perspective of it. Either way it is a win/win situation.
Thank you as always Hussey as this is something I gained from your retreat.
Wishing you all the best and forever grateful,

  93. someGirl says:

Hey Matt, just wanted to say I love these personal development videos from you. Thanks to your methodologies, I’ve got my guy now but I still follow this blog because of videos such as these which helps me to pursue my other goals and interest.

    Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

  94. edith says:

I Love the idea of vid that make your life better!!! You can create a good relationship only by being a fulfilled person! But at the same time I find this particular vid lacking substance or at least not exploring the subject enough… but I’m still your biggest fan!

  95. Candace says:

Amazing video! Love them all and love u mixing it up with ones like these! Can’t say enough good things about you Matthew Hussey. You do fantastic work!

  96. Louise says:

Love it Matthew! It’s great to witness your wisdom and sphere of interest and influence growing! I was one of your very earliest clients and I still tune in and love your vids. I’m sure I’ll find my way to one of your gigs as well again before too long! Namaste :)

  97. Sandi M says:

Thank you as always Matthew. Spot on. I will apply this to the writing I have been working on. I now see that it has become a chore, and I’ve made it hard work rather than a creative process. I feel refreshed with this new mind set now. I appreciate your insights. They are easy to understand as you spoke from what you applied to your own process. Your videos with this type of content are always so useful. Thank you again.
    Greatfully and faithfully yours

    Such a workaholic

  99. Jill says:

You make it sound so easy….What about those of us who feel stuck? For instance I have a million ideas but have no clue how to get them off the ground. It’s super easy to tell someone to “just start” when you don’t know how overwhelmed they feel

This is so perfectly timed. I am about to take 60 children on camp this week for 4 days and had been dreading it. Thanks for your tips!
