  • Hey Matt!

First of all I want to say thank you!
You inject a little positivity everytime I watch your videos or read your blog.

So far I thought I had a crappy year, my relationships didn’t turn out well (all those negative blah-blah-blahs) :):) but actually I achieved so many things.

I left my old university for a new one, which really suites my personality. I felt really proud when I made this move. I also ended a friend with benefits kinda-thing and decided to meet new guys, who would really appreciate me… and not only my body.
I made this move recently so I still feel a bit depressed(it’s crazy right?) but I’m sure things will turn out better.
I got hired at record label and I love my job. I met so many inspirational people recently.

I learnt that anything is possible if I really go for it.

Thanks again! Have a great christmas :)

    xoxo

  • Your techniques have been helpful in making me come out of my shell. I have noticed the little things guys do not only for myself but it has also been helpful towards my friends. I haven’t completely gotten into the dating scene as of yet but I think your tips will benefit me in the future.

  • Matt, I know your energy these days is predominantly focused on GTG but I was wondering if you have any plans to bring out more content on non-romance related topics via your own website matthewhussey.com? There are a lot of us girls who need help in other areas of our lives and I’ve loved watching your confidence seminars on YouTube like “The Psychology of Entrepreneurship”, I know that was part of the coaching you did for men but it’s also applicable to women who feel we need to achieve more goals (I did mention this in an email to you).

I think you mentioned your retreats cover areas like self-confidence and careers but for those of us who are unable to come to the retreats it would be good to have an online programme for this if there’s enough demand out there.

Don’t get me wrong, I love GetTheGuy but personally I could do with guidance in other aspects of my life!

  • Hi,

How are you doing? I had a very fantastic year, in terms of changing my self and taking risk. I kept taking risks and meeting new people, going out and have fun, although non of of them lead to a relationship or anything long term but it helped me to get to know myself better and get more self confident. People start noticing me, I see lots of head turn around and look at me not because I am beautiful but because my self confidence has grown.
I have been following your weblogs, videos and your emails for more than a year now and I have to say that all helped me a lot in improving the way that I look at people and relationships.
    Many thanks
    You are amazing!
    Cheers,
    Leila

  • Thanks for everything you’ve taught not only myself, but women all over the world, Matt! I really appreciate the advice and tips you give, and I alway use them whenever I get the chance. You’ve not only hepled me to believe in myself, but also to have more confidence when it comes to guys in particular. This year, thanks to your advice, I got a scholarship to a school that seems perfect for me, I was so proud and I am so excited to start there next year! So thanks Matt, for teaching me to love life, take risks and make the most of every opportunity that comes my way…here’s to a fantastic 2013!

  • Hey, glad to hear your year has been successful and that the next one seems to be gearing up to be even better. I have learned this year that being happy is a choice. There are things in life you can change and things you cant, and days will come along that bring you down. But I have finally learned to look at my life and see all the good things, the important things. There were some very hard lessons along the way at the beginning of this year, but because of those things and the people who came into (and in some cases out of) my life I have begun to enjoy life on a daily basis, instead of thinking that when I reach a milestone I will be happy. My life isnt exactly where I wanted or thought it would be, but that seems to matter less and less. I get happy when I hear a good song on the radio, I get happy when someone says something nice to me, I get happy when I can sit down and enjoy a cup of tea and my fav tv show, I get happy when I am faced with new opportunities… these are all things that previously would have added stress to my life or passed me by without me even noticing them. Its strange but I feel like I’ve been driving along staring at the road 3 ft in front of me until now, and now I see the miles and miles ahead of me, all the side roads, and little pit stops. And now I can truly say, I am happy about being happy…

  • Thank you for everything that you do for us Matt. Thanks for being generous and kind and share such valuable information with us and help many of us in a way that you cannot even imagined.

This year I have accomplished a stepping stone of my big goal. I did my best to improve my marks and I am applying for professional schools now :) I also did a backpacking trip with my friend to Europe and it was eye-opening and definitely a memorable one. I just had my birthday recently and I made a conscious decision to not criticize every single part of myself anymore, and just be kind and gentle and hopefully, be comfortable in my own skin soon. I don’t know if I can make it, but I will try my best to appreciate everything that I am.

Will the Man Myth help with this? I am wondering about that because I don’t necessarily want to just do it for attracting a guy (although that would be nice), but I just want to be a high-value, and learn to love myself more this year.

Thanks for your input, and have a wonderful holiday with friends and family!

  • Definitely glad that I gave in and took the chance to follow you. Although its not been an easy year, I am looking forward to what the new year brings and hope to focus more on me. Being a people pleaser and always doing for others….need to take your spirit and drive to aide in my life. Still single but okay with that. Cheers to your successes and endeavors. Maybe I can do your retreat if you still are planning on one. ready to fuel the soul.

  • Hi matthew!

I <3 what you do! :) you are such a great person in what you do, as in giving and sharing tips to make our lives a little easier of which I def. appreciate! this year I have learned to except things the way they are sometimes. you can't always expect things to happen your way especially when feelings can come and go. I actually have learned many things, but the biggest thing I've learned is that even when you have felt that you've fallen down it's a matter of finding and learning to pick urself back up. :) and I def hope to increase my conf and become someone high value. someone who a high value man is attracted towards. :D

  • Hi!

I’ve never left a comment, but I’ve been following your videos and emails for a while. I have a boyfriend, but it’s not serious yet and I think alot of what you say is still helpful!

Proud of: Going back to University and keeping my GPA up
Where I can improve: Health and focus on regular excercise

Thanks for being so down to earth, honest and genuine!

    1. Thanks Jackqueline, I really appreciate you leaving a comment this time around.

Congrats on going back to Uni. I’ll do what I can to keep you focused on the health and exercise as we move into the new year : ) x

  • I am so pleased for you and your team. It shows that anything can be achieved when you set your mind to it.

I’ve made the decision to move to another country and start a new life. I am so excited and know that everything will be fine.
I’m looking forward to great relationship and living the life I really want.

  • Hi Matt ,I am really happy for you!!, like you I am also pursuing my own dream of becoming an interpreter and so right now I’m living in Paris !! I’ve been following you for over a year, I have always liked your articles but because I live in Mexico it is really hard for me to go to one of your seminars .This year I decided to step out of my comfort zone and live in the moment, it was really hard for me but then we only live once ; long story short I had my first kiss with and incredible gorgeous French guy that made me feel even if it was just for one night like I was the most beautiful girl on the planet !(I know it sounds a little lame but I had always wanted my first kiss to be something worth remembering , you are now probably wondering how old I am well I’m 19 but “the first kiss” has always being very important to me and none of the guys that had previously asked me to kiss them made me actually consider it ) I know for lots of girls the first kiss is no big deal since they felt nothing special and I was kind of resigned to the idea but then it happened and it was just PERFECT. I’m tired of waiting for things to happen thanks to you I know understand when you say it is time to be a “creator”!!! Thank you very much Matt!!
    Feliz Navidad !!

  • Matt! You finally back!
I’ve been waiting for your new videos.
I’m really glad that about your upcoming tv show and book releasing. Congratulations :)

I also wanted to tell you that now I got a VERY good boyfriend because I did according to your advices from your videos; I practiced to look at people into their eyes, smiles a lot, be playful and confident. The guy I am dating now is the most amazing guy I’ve ever been dated. Of course I met a few jerks before I met him. Some guys just want to have fun.
But I learned how to stay ‘HIGH VALUE’ from you.
I respect myself and appraently I have a boyfriend who’s very respect to me and to himself too.

I really want to say ‘Thank you very much, YOU ARE THE BEST’ :)

Have a wonderful christmas Matt. :)

  • Thanks for everything this year I’m grateful that I found your site and an investing time and money into this area of my life. I am already making small steps and seeing things for how they are not how I want to see them. I’m investing in relationships but also seeing the need for new ones which will help me achieve goals.
I have also found confidence to realise dreams and know that will enable me to get further along the path I want to be on in my love life.

I still need to be more proactive and make an effort to get out and do things next year.

Thanks for everything and hope all have a happy Christmas and joyous new year.

    Alex

  • I’ve always been kinda skeptical about the advice people give to others regarding love, relationships, dating and all the things related to them…so many blogs, so many so-called experts, so many articles, shows, films…I thought I was good at all the dating experience until one day I accidentally ran into one of your videos, it was quite convincing so later I found out about the blog and it has answered to many of my questions…I have to say I don’t take every piece of advice into consideration because I believe that general rules do not apply to the singular person but the messages you want to share: being proactive, putting yourself out there, not caring what actually people think…have helped me quite a bit and I’d like to take the chance and thank you for the amazing job you’ve done. Keep it up!
    xx

    1. Hey Ledia!
Thankyou so much. I don’t like rules or mass generalisations either. Sometimes they help in forming principles, but we always have to allow room for flexibility in the way individuals react. I like to keep general principles as my compass, but allow for exceptions!

Thanks for commenting, and taking the time out to give me your kind words, much appreciated x

  • Hey Matt
Just catching up on all the great blogs and vlogs, now that i have some free time… good stuff, as always! :) So excited for all the good stuff that’s happening to u! U had a vision and u worked hard to make it happen, that’s a great accomplishment! Thumbs up!
Well, one thing i’m very proud of this year is obtaining my Masters Degree a few months ago. Lots of sweat, tears and sleepless nights, but i did it! Yay!
And one thing i’ve learned is to listen to my gut instinct, even when my brain is fighting it with logic! lol
And another thing i was just reminded of while watching ur video, i gotta work on my relationships!

Cheers to u and ur GTG team! xoxo

    1. And if i shd be the one giving u an advice, don’t shave! I’m sure the girls in LA will drop like flies! ;) lol

  • I cannot wait for the book to come out in January, I was just wondering does the UK include Ireland? I need that book and so do my friends!

Hope it flies off the shelves.

Happy Christmas Matt and the gettheguy team :)
